East Grand Forks Exponent refuses to explain chronologically incorrect ‘Timeline of Events’ published regarding Boardwalk Enterprises

EGF newspaper issues no clarification or correction

December 10, 2014

by Timothy Charles Holmseth

Despite written requests for clarification made to the publisher(s) of the East Grand Forks Exponent regarding the chronologically flawed ‘Boardwalk Enterprises - Timeline of Events’ - the newspaper published last week - the publishers have taken no action.

On December 3, 2014, The Exponent published a “Timeline of Events’ chronologically detailing the ‘Boardwalk Enterprises’ scandal. The timeline was presented in the newspaper as facts compiled by “East Grand Forks City Attorney Ron Galstad”.

On December 4 and December 6, Timothy Charles Holmseth (this writer), plaintiff, Holmseth v. City of East Grand Forks et al. e-mailed both Rollin and Julie Bergman, co-publishers of the Exponent, and requested clarification on the series of dates published out of order – no reply by the Bergman’s was received.

On December 10, the Bergman’s released the weekly edition of The Exponent but no correction or clarification was made regarding Galstad’s statement of facts regarding Boardwalk’s timeline.

The suspicious timeline was submitted to the United States District Court as an exhibit in Holmseth v. City of East Grand Forks.
