The Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) in Minnesota may have inadvertently revealed who murdered Daryl Sindermann in 1986.

They revealed who did it by trying to cover it up in the first place.
Records obtained by a document request reveal the disturbing truth.
In 1987, the PCSO was told of four suspects reported to have beaten Sindermann up with plans to throw him in the river.
In once instance, according to records, the Sheriff’s Office waited 17 years to interview a suspect.
Two of the suspects were never interviewed at all.
On September 10, 2015, Write Into Action published a Crime Stopper tip/document that had been called in to Grand Forks Crimes Stoppers on June 29, 1987.
The June 29, 1987 report read in part:
“Caller stated that he was at a party by the Thompson Bridge – the same party Daryl Sindermann was at. Caller stated that suspects and two other guys beat up Daryl and were going to thrown him in the river. Suspects tried to beat up caller and some other guys too. Caller says suspect #1 is involved the most. Suspects were drunk and/or stoned. Caller says his wife knows more about this, she was at the party too, and he will see if she will call us”.
The tip specifically named two suspects.
Suspect # 1: Chris Pesch, EGF
Suspect # 2: Steve Boushy [sic], EGF
UPDATE
On October 19, 2015, Write Into Action requested documents from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) regarding the 1987 Crime Stopper’s tip. On November 17, 2015, Write Into Action received documents from the PCSO.
Documents show that:
Suspect # 1: Chris Pesch, was interviewed by Curt A. Nelson, special investigator, Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) on March 19, 2004 – 17 years after the tip was called in.
Suspect # 2: Steve Boushy [sic], “Steve Boushee” was interviewed by the BCA on April 4, 1990, when the case was opened back up by the BCA – almost four years after the tip was called in.
Two of the four suspects mentioned in the narrative were apparently never identified. There is also no record that the tipster's wife was contacted.
The date of the tips and the deliberate neglectful actions of the Sheriff’s Office demonstrate conscious thought and willful deception by investigators to help the suspects avoid prosecution for murder.
