In 2010, Assistant State Attorney John Hutchins (male in photo) was visiting a weight loss clinic in Tallahassee. The clinic was operated by Karl and Jane Watts.

Hutchins’ wife, an Assistant State Attorney as well, Angelique Knox (female in photo), was also visiting the weight loss clinic.

At the very time Attorney Hutchins and his wife were visiting the clinic to obtain controlled substances, ASA John Hutchins was the lead prosecutor on the State's prosecution of Jane Watts for practicing healthcare without a license – at the clinic.

When ASA James Bevelle was advised that ASA Hutchins and Angelique Knox were visiting the clinic, ASA Bevelle expressed his concern, because Hutchins was his boss.  

Shortly thereafter, ASA Bevelle was transferred, and replaced with ASA Jack Campbell, the son of Leon County Sheriff Larry Campbell.

Dozens of public officials visited the weight loss clinic to obtain controlled substances. The patients obtaining prescription medication by fraud included judges, attorneys, law enforcement, and high ranking politicians.

No government employees or members of the legal community were charged with any crime.
